The permanent home of the historic Oak Hill breeding program. Thoughtfully bred for docile family temperaments, stay-put fence manners, robust parasite resilience, and homestead utility.
The Oak Hill goat program was founded in Pennsylvania over 16 years ago by agricultural author Carrie Eastman (The Energetic Goat, Acres U.S.A.). Selected for authentic conformation, natural browse thriftiness, and gentle dispositions, Oak Hill became recognized as one of the pioneer MGR breeding herds in the eastern United States.
In 2023, the entire breeding herd made the journey south to its permanent home at Barakah Heritage Farm in Winnsboro, South Carolina. Today, we continue steward-breeding two distinct, purposeful offerings under the Oak Hill name:
MGR-registered foundation stock carrying historic Tennessee and Texas bloodlines. Exceptionally heavy muscling, calm handling, and grounded fence-respecting temperaments.
MGR Registered PedigreesIntentional F1 crosses combining our purebred Myotonic sires with rare American Guernsey foundation dairy does (Black Locust lines). High-butterfat golden milk paired with meat hardiness.
Dual-Purpose Homestead UtilityWe maintain this page year-round so buyers always know our current breeding schedule and kid offerings.
For 2026, we retained our stunning moonspotted doeling Lula Mae (Buster × Buttercup) as a future foundation breeding doe and did not offer kids for public sale. We are actively planning our 2027 kidding schedule.
All kid births, weights, photos, and sale listings are sent exclusively to our eNewsletter subscribers first. Only after subscribers have reviewed the kid crop and made reservations are any remaining animals posted publicly to Facebook or Instagram.
