Two Heritage Offerings at Oak Hill

1. Purebred Myotonic (Fainting) Goats (MGR Registered)

Our primary breeding program preserves purebred MGR-registered Fainting Goats from foundational Tennessee and Texas bloodlines. - Docile, gentle disposition: Calm, child-safe, and slow to startle. - Naturally grounded: Won't jump standard 4-foot fences or climb vehicles. - Thrifty low-input vigor: Selected over 16+ years for natural parasite resistance and high-forage resilience. - Multipurpose utility: Exceptional muscular conformation, heavy meat yield, moderate rich milk, and soft cashmere.

2. Fainting Goat × American Guernsey Homestead Crosses

We cross purebred Myotonic bucks with our foundation American Guernsey dairy does (Black Locust lines) to produce an ideal all-around family homestead goat: - Combining high-butterfat (~3.72%), sweet dairy milk genetics with Myotonic hardiness and calm handling. - Excellent dual-purpose balance for family milk, meat, and browse clearing without high grain requirements.

How Our Sales & Reservation System Works

We follow a structured 3-tier sales access ladder to ensure peace of mind for serious breeders, loyalty rewards for subscribers, and full transparency.

Tier 1 · Priority Reservation (First Pick)

* $50 before the first kid is born to secure first choice of the available kid crop after we make our choices. * For each Priority Reservation you can choose your Simultaneous Primary + Backup kid holds. * You get a text at each birth with first details and photos before anyone else and can begin making your hold selections. * You get another text when the Priority Reservation confirmation window opens. You have a 3-day window to finalize your selection(s) once farm retention selections are made. * Availability: Strictly limited to 1–2 holders per season for guaranteed peace of mind. Priority Reservations close when the first kid hits the ground.

Tier 2 · eNewsletter Subscribers (Subscriber Pick)

* Access: Free to join our private farm eNewsletter list. * Birth Announcements: See the detailed birth announcements before the general public social media releases. * Sales Announcements: Full sales announcements with individual photos and pricing. * Selection: First choice of the kid crop after Priority Reservations are served.

Tier 3 · Public & Social Media (Open Public Access)

* Access: Any kids remaining after the subscriber window closes are posted to Facebook, Instagram, and the public website. * Selection: Standard first-come, first-served basis. * Hold Deposit: $50 online down payment to hold until weaning.

Sales Policies & Health Assurance

* Deposits: A $50 down payment holds does, bucks, and listed wethers until pickup (non-refundable unless the kid sickens or dies at BHF, or BHF cancels the contract).
* Buckling Wether Policy: Bucklings with breeding potential will not be castrated without full purchase price paid in advance (100% non-refundable once wethered).
* Closed Herd Biosecurity: All breeding adults are annually blood-tested 100% negative for CAE, CL, and Johne's Disease via accredited veterinary laboratories (WADDL / Sage Labs). Certificates posted publicly.
* Dam-Raised Kids: Kids are naturally dam-raised on clean pasture and browse, and remain with their dams until at least 12 weeks of age for optimal physical and social development.
* Registration Included: Purebred Myotonic kids include signed MGR registration certificates or applications.
* Free Annual Doe Breeding: Does purchased from BHF may return once per year for breeding to an Oak Hill buck at no charge (requires negative CAE/CL/Johnes testing within 30 days).
