Terms of Service & Sales Policy

Effective: 2026 Season • Barakah Heritage Farm • Winnsboro, SC

1. Livestock Sales & Reservation Policy

Barakah Heritage Farm takes pride in raising sound, healthy, genetically proven Myotonic (Fainting) and American Guernsey dairy goats.

  • Holding Deposits: A non-refundable 50% deposit holds your reserved animal until weaning or the agreed-upon pickup date.
  • Balance Due: Full balance is due prior to or at pickup in cash or verified funds.
  • Health Guarantee at Departure: All goats leave our farm in good health, up-to-date on herd management protocols (hoof trimming, coccidia prevention, rumen support). Because livestock health depends on post-pickup biosecurity, feeding transitions, and housing, responsibility transfers to buyer upon departure.
  • Registration & Pedigrees: Registered breeding stock includes official transfer paperwork (MGR / ADGA) as indicated in individual animal sales agreements.

2. Biosecurity & Farm Visits

To protect our livestock genetics and maintain a closed-herd wellness standard:

  • By Appointment Only: Farm visits and livestock pickups are scheduled in advance. We do not accept unannounced walk-in visitors.
  • Footwear & Sanitation: Visitors may be asked to wear clean footwear or use foot disinfectant baths prior to entering barn and pasture areas.
  • Outside Animals: For biosecurity and herd safety, outside pets and dogs are not permitted on farm grounds.

3. Agritourism & Educational Consulting

Consultation sessions with author Carrie Eastman ($20/hour) provide educational guidance based on decades of holistic farming and equestrian experience. Educational advice is intended for homestead stewardship and does not replace emergency clinical veterinary care.
