Terms & conditions:
The down payment to hold does, wethers (already wethered/being sold as wethers only) and bucks is $50.00, and is non refundable unless the goat would sicken or die while at Barakah Heritage Farm (BHF) or BHF cancels the contract.
The down payment on breeding-quality bucklings that will be wethered at buyer’s request is 100% of their sale price, and is nonrefundable unless the goat would sicken or die while at Barakah Heritage Farm. Bucklings will not be wethered without the full down payment.
We do not routinely disbud. We offer polled (naturally hornless) kids when available.
Payment may be made here OR by check, cash, Zelle, Cash App, money order or PayPal.
No installment payments without prior arrangement.
Balance must be paid in full before the goat leaves Barakah Heritage Farm. Personal checks must be received and clear the bank prior to the goat leaving Barakah Heritage Farm.
The price of the goat includes registration. Registration is completed by Oak Hill and buyer provided with certificate plus signed transfer paperwork. If registration is pending, completed certificate and transfer paperwork will be mailed to the buyer.
Goats can be picked up at three months of age or later. The pick up date will be mutually agreed upon at the time of the purchase agreement. (If the goat is not picked up within a week of the agreed upon date the buyer will pay board of $2.00 per day and any medical costs.)
The Buyer is responsible for the cost of transportation.
All goats must be transported in an adequately sized, covered, ventilated, safe vehicle, where they may comfortably, and safely, stand, turn around and lay down. If the buyer shows up to pick up the goats with what Barakah Heritage Farm determines to be unsatisfactory and/or unsafe transportation, Barakah Heritage Farm retains the right to refuse to release the goats until approved transportation is provided.
The Buyer is responsible for the cost of the Veterinary Health Certificate (required if leaving South Carolina)

Doeling buyers may bring their doe back to BHF once per year for breeding to one of our bucks at no charge. To be eligible for this, the buyer must show proof that ALL adult goats in their herd have negative CAE/CL/Johnes tests no more than 30 days prior to the planned breeding. BHF reserves the right to cancel a breeding if the doe arrives sick or with obvious signs of disease.
We currently have no known health problems. Nevertheless, we do not guarantee our goats are CAE/Johnes/CL free or free of any other diseases or health problems. We CAN guarantee that all adult goats have been tested regularly for CAE/Johnes/CL, and the testing certificate is posted publicly on our website and Facebook page.
Goats are herd animals and will be very unhappy if you just have one; they need the company of their own kind. Because we care about our goats, we will not sell just one goat to anyone unless they already have goats.
Males are neutered (wethered) using a burdizzo, which causes the testicles to atrophy. Sterility is within days. However full atrophy may take 3 months and the wether will retain a small scrotum for life. If atrophy fails to occur by 4 months from the neutering date, Barakah Heritage Farm will re-neuter the goat for you at our cost.
We reserve the right to not sell our goat to any potential buyer. If Barakah Heritage Farm declines the sale, the fees, including the deposit, are refunded
Barakah Heritage Farm does not guarantee the frequency/intensity of fainting (myotonia) in our fainting kids.
By making a payment along, the buyer agrees to and is bound by the terms and conditions laid out above.
