What Makes Our Trail Rides Unique
Trailpartners is not a typical nose-to-tail plod along a worn path. Our trail excursions were developed around equine communication, humane welfare, and genuine horse-human partnership.
Session Structure & Trail Flow
Arrival, Safety Orientation & Horse Pairing
Guests sign release paperwork, review safety principles, and meet a horse carefully matched to their experience level and personality.
Groundwork & Arena Refresher
Before heading out, horse and rider complete a 10–20 minute warm-up in the enclosed riding area with ground pole navigation and cue alignment.
Scenic Guided Trail Ride
Small, intimate groups (1 to 2 riders per guide) explore scenic woods, shaded fern paths, gentle slopes, and pasture borders with scenic photo stops.
Cool-Down & Equine Appreciation
Riders return to the barn for untacking, cooling down, grooming, and expressing gratitude to their equine partners.

Q: What experience level is required for trail rides?
Open trail rides are geared toward intermediate to advanced riders who are confident starting, steering, and stopping independently. Beginners and children are accommodated in our supervised arena riding programs.
Q: What horse breeds are used on the trails?
Mounts include registered purebred Arabians (renowned for endurance, agility, and intelligence), American Quarter Horses, and American Paints, all handled and trained with compassionate classical horsemanship.
Q: What is the group size for trail rides?
We maintain very small groups—typically 1 to 2 riders per guide—ensuring personalized attention, high safety standards, and a peaceful connection with nature.
Rider Safety & Attire Standards
Session Requirements:
- Ages: 18+ for open trail rides (or minors evaluated during arena sessions).
- Weight Limit: 200 lbs maximum for horse spine wellness.
- Health: Good physical condition without acute back/neck restrictions.
- Group Size: Private or semi-private (1–2 riders per guide).
Footwear & Attire:
- Boots: Smooth-soled riding boots or shoes with 0.5"–2" heel (no open shoes or bulky hiking boots).
- Clothing: Long comfortable pants; weather-appropriate layers.
- Helmets: Strongly recommended; riders bring their own fitted riding helmet.
- Gear: Hands-free only (no loose bags or dangling bottles).
